This thing drives fantastically, and I really dig the glossy plastic body-colored interior accents. Still hate the headlights, though. 10/10 would autocross

If it’s actually leather it’s not factory. The factory vinyl is pretty good, though. I dig it. If I were 18 or so I’d rock it.

My mom had one as a rental car once. The body panels are so thin that I put a huge dent in the hood when I pushed it shut with my bare hand.

We looked at one before we bough the Soul. I sat in the front seat and knew it wasn’t for us. So tiny.

No matter how pretty it is, it can’t hide its inner Daewoo. lol

Where I live the Spark was selling well, then Nissan started selling the Micra. The Micra did a triple homicide to Spark sales. I test driven both, the Micra was a much better car. I ended up with a Sonic, the Micra was too small for me. It was a great car, it was like a puppy. It just wanted to play.

Interesting interior. A shame that the interior is straight outta’ 2005.

This is a great ‘slow-car-fast,’ if you don’t mind very slow.
If they gave it the Sonic’s 1.4, it would be a hoot!

I read too much of that thread where the guy tries to defend his Daewoo. I can’t look at that word without thinking up poorly grammared insults.
“no it says u should have it looked at if it is on but it is ok to drive with the light on as long as it aint flashing and its not MY mechanic its A mechanic and the general thing that when it FLASHES is a severe misfire is on ALL Cars i cant afford 90 bucks to have MY mechanic look at it”

Or the Camaro SS’s V8.
Who needs back seats?

Where in Canada do you live? I’m in Montreal and I’ve seen one in Enterprise’s rental fleet at the airport. I haven’t spotted one on the road, I see Sonics everywhere though.

The lack of punctuation or even an attempt at correct spelling gives me a headache. D:

I’m on, like, page 15. It’s so bad, but it’s too good to stop. I’m like 70% certain it’s a troll, but it’s still amusing.

Who cares if there's some Daewoo association here. I like these too!

But... why not LT4???
Seriously though, I recommend the Sonic engine only because the car’s fun quotient would go significantly up, but it’s price would not. It would still be a <$18k new car.
But yes, the world needs more RWD, mid-engined hatchbacks.

I have no idea which one is which. I really know nothing about GM engines.
With such a short wheelbase, though...
“How fast does it go?”
“Donuts.”
“No, you misunderstood me. How -fast- does it go.”
“No, you misunderstood me. It only goes donuts. ”

0/10 - Not allowed to SCCA Solo. (Yay rollover rule.)
(Unless you lower/widen it, it seems.)
Edit: Wait. Looks like the 2016 rules have it in there as acceptable for STF.

I see these quite frequently, which is odd considering I live in a small, rural town. And they're always driven by old people.

Barrie? I’ll be back in Toronto tomorrow (I’ve only been back home in Montreal for 72 hours after a week out in Toronto).

I’m not in Barrie, but 1/2 hour north of Barrie in Elmvale.

Seriously? I whipped the SHIT out of this in all sorts of esses and slaloms in the back lot at work and it was ludicrously stable.

It’s a track v height ratio for Solo, but it looks like it’s been approved now.
